Prayer for Healing and Strength

Heavenly Father, I come to You today weary, but not without hope. My body feels the weight of this trial, and some days my spirit grows tired along with it. I ask You now for two gifts at once: the healing that only You can give, and the strength to carry on faithfully until that healing arrives.

Lord, You know every ache I carry, even the ones I have not spoken aloud. You know the nights that feel long and the mornings that feel harder than they should. Reach into those places. Mend what is broken in my body, and steady what is trembling in my heart.

Give me strength for today — not strength for every trial I might ever face, just enough for these next hours. Let me rise when I am tired, hope when I am discouraged, and trust You even when I cannot see the way forward.

I remember Your promise, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him" (Psalm 28:7). Let that be true in me. Let my weakness become the very place where Your strength is made known.

Surround me with people who can help carry this burden, and soften my heart to receive their care. Healing rarely comes to those who face it entirely alone, and I ask You to remind me of that when pride or fear tempts me to hide.

Whatever the outcome, keep my eyes fixed on You. If healing comes slowly, teach me patience. If it comes quickly, keep me grateful. Either way, do not let this trial separate me from Your love.

Lord Jesus, Divine Physician, restore my body and renew my strength, in Your holy name. Amen.
