A Daily Devotional Online
A short daily devotional you can return to online, pairing Scripture with a simple prayer for the day ahead.
A devotional doesn't need to be long to matter. Some of the steadiest habits are the smallest ones — a few minutes each morning, a verse read slowly, a moment to let it settle before the day pulls you into motion.
"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24). Before anything else fills the page of today, it helps to remember that the day itself is a gift, not something to simply survive.
"Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11). Jesus taught His disciples to ask for just enough for today — not tomorrow's worries carried early, not yesterday's regrets carried late. Just today's portion, trusted into God's hands.
"It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:22-23). Whatever yesterday held, mercy meets you fresh today. A devotional practice is really just pausing long enough to notice that.
"I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye" (Psalm 32:8). You don't need every answer before you start the day — only a willingness to keep listening as it unfolds.
Lord, meet me here today. Thank You for this day and for mercies that are new again this morning. Teach me what You would have me learn, and guide my steps even where I cannot yet see the way. Let Your word settle into my heart and shape how I meet whatever this day brings. Amen.
